Step into a venue steeped in tradition, where elegance meets heritage. Enjoy a three-course dinner with a drinks reception and a conference dinner speaker, all set in a truly grand setting.
We invite abstracts for poster presentations from a wide range of topics relating to alternative proteins, with the main themes of the conference:
Creating tasty, safe, and affordable alternative proteins to support health, reduce ultra-processed food concerns, and enable a just transition for producers.
Ensuring alternative proteins deliver on nutrition, safety, and health — from production to digestion — for a just and healthy food future.
Scaling bioprocessing and diversifying alternative proteins sources to make cultivated meat and precision fermentation mainstream and affordable.
Understanding consumer perceptions of alternative proteins and advancing strategies to make them accessible, affordable, nutritious, and delicious—while integrating them into healthy, sustainable diets for all.
Alternative protein research is an exciting and rapidly evolving field, but we know it often comes with high risks and unpredictable outcomes. Negative or unexpected results are just as important as positive ones in advancing our understanding.
At NAPIC, we welcome all contributions.
All submissions will be reviewed by the scientific committee. Successful submissions will be invited to for a poster presentation.
Posters will be A0 in size portrait, either on fabric or matte/sheer coated card. Posters will be displayed throughout the conference, assessed during a dedicated session, and prizes awarded.

You may need to apply for a Visit visa or an Electronic Travel Authorisation before travelling to the UK.
If you’re a visa national (your nationality is on the list of visa nationals) you must apply for a Visit visa before travelling. You must submit and pay for a Visit visa application and receive this in order to obtain entry to the UK. You should check that you have all the relevant supporting documents before applying. You must then submit a Visit visa application online.
If you require a letter of support for your visa application, please contact: events@napic.ac.uk
If you do not currently need a visa to travel to the UK (ie you are a non-visa national), you will need an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) which gives you permission to travel to the UK. An ETA costs £10 and permits multiple visits to the UK of up to six months at a time over two years or until your passport expires, whichever is sooner. Visit GOV.UK for more information on who can get an ETA and how to apply before coming to the UK.
